One thing I like most about SCIS is that it is a very diverse community where you meet people from all around world and that reminds me of some of the most memorable times of my life. I was born in Beijing, studied in Oxford UK, worked for the BBC World Service in London and married an American man who I met during his ex-patriot assignment in the UK. I traveled throughout of the Europe and eventually moved to the US. We have two children, Charlie and James, and our home is currently in Michigan. We moved to Shanghai in 2003 for my husband’s ex-patriot assignment covering Asia Pacific. I keep busy working with several Non-Profit organizations, of which I am on the Board of Directors, which promote China-US cooperation. I really enjoy working with PAFA, since it gives me the opportunity to help make a difference for our community and make new friends all the time.
