On Hongqiao Campus, students from Kindergarten up have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities organized and supervised by our multi-talented international teachers. After-school activities, such as sports, arts and crafts, cooking, computers, and music, take place about three days a week. To see what actvities are planned, look at the Hongqiao calendar here. Sign-up forms for after-school activities are included in the Dragon News 1-2 weeks before the start of the activity.

SCIS is also part of Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS) as well as China International Schools Sports Association (CISSA). For ACAMIS, students from Grade 3 up actively participate in the art project, "Art on the Go", by creating an artwork based on either a theme assigned by ACAMIS or their art teacher. Selected artworks go on a "tour" to all international schools in China and Mongolia that are part of ACAMIS. For CISSA, students from Grade 3 up have opportunities to join intramural sports that take place after-school. By doing so, students play games against other international schools in Shanghai. Other in-school activities that all students from Grade 3 up participate in are Soccer Days and Swim Meets.
