The Hongqiao campus is conveniently located in the heart of Hongqiao and is an easy destination from most parts of Puxi as well as the Lu Jia Zui district of Pudong. The largest and newest of the SCIS campuses, Hongqiao has a close-knit staff of close to 60 Western teachers and 15 Mandarin staff who are dedicated to educating the international school student. The original 5-story school building houses our Upper School, including gymnasium, library, and computer labs. Construction on three additional buildings was completed during the summer of 2007 and include a Performing Arts Center complete with swimming pool, 700 seat theatre, and cafeteria. The Lower School building consists of over 30 purpose built classrooms plus gymnasium, library, computer and music labs, a performing arts area, as well as indoor play space. The final building is a 4-story Fine Arts Annex with purpose built art and music rooms.
