Principal, Hangzhou International School

As you may already know, I have been an educator for many years and earned my doctorate in the field of Educational Leadership. In addition to working as a principal, a school head, and serving in both public and private schools as a teacher, consultant and athletic director, I have been a research analyst and assistant for numerous publications and presentations. Educationally, I am a pragmatist and I believe Education should be driven by two things: research, and more importantly, common sense. As someone who has seen the spectrum of western education, I am impressed and excited by the prospects of life in Hangzhou and at HIS.

As I return as our school’s principal, I am looking forward to expanding on the initiatives that are now in place at HIS. Our objectives on assisting students obtain admission into first-rate universities globally, academic achievement, the development of competitive sports and the arts (both fine and performing), and the overall goal of creating a school where students want to be are just a few that come to mind. And as always, I am excited about our curious, intelligent international student body and faculty.
