| You are cordially invited to visit the fifth grade classes’
Living Explorers’ Museum on-line edition.
What is it you ask?
Each student in fifth grade has researched and written an autobiography
based on an early explorer as if they were that explorer. All you do
is simply approach each ‘statue’ of the explorer, press the red button
located on their shoulder, and watch them spring to life and retell the
major events in their life’s history!
When and where was it you ask?
The Living Museum took place between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
on Friday, February 13th, 2004 in the Changning Theater.
Why are we doing the Living Explorer’s Museum?
This activity builds on the students previous knowledge and experience
with the SCIS curriculum and acts as a springboard towards a study of
colonization in The New World. This activity also addresses each and
every ESLR in a variety of ways.
Please enjoy our Living Museum on-line edition.
